Industrial
Barbell Size
*Industrial Barbells are most
commonly used in the industrial ear piercing
on the upper cartilage that bridges the two piercings using one
barbell.
Hints on determining the right sizing:
To get the most snug fit within
your piercing, measure your industrial
piercing from the outside top to the outside bottom. Do NOT
measure
from the inside of your ear because the mm sizing is from the
ends of the
barbells NOT including the balls. Measuring from the outside
allows the
balls to sit snug rather than pinch.
When getting your initial
piercing most studios will pierce with 2 separate
pieces of jewelry, either a captive bead rings or straight
barbells. Having two
separate pieces of jewelry allows room for the initial swelling
and healing
process.
Important info for potential piercers:
Make sure the right angle is used for each
piercing to
allow a straight barbell to connect.
